Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead the strategy, support, optimization, and governance of enterprise business applications. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, leadership teams, and technical resources to ensure technology investments align with organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, product management practices, systems analysis, and business process improvement. This individual will play a critical role in driving application adoption, defining product roadmaps, resolving complex system challenges, and delivering measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise application and product management strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage application portfolios, product roadmaps, intake processes, prioritization, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements and define technology solutions.
- Translate business objectives into actionable initiatives, project requirements, and measurable outcomes.
- Establish governance processes, decision-making frameworks, and product management best practices.
- Monitor application performance, user adoption, and operational effectiveness through established metrics and KPIs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing systems and business processes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and business value.
- Support implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise software platforms.
- Coordinate testing activities, user acceptance testing, and system validation efforts.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and drive timely resolution.
- Ensure application compatibility, integration, and overall system reliability.
- Partner with vendors, technical teams, and business units to support ongoing operational needs.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and user procedures.
- Deliver user education, training sessions, and change management initiatives.
- Track support issues, resolution efforts, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with disaster recovery, backup validation, audit activities, and system continuity planning.
- Communicate system updates, risks, and project status to leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications and information systems.
- Experience managing or contributing to product management, application governance, or technology portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise software platforms, including CRM, HR, financial, and business applications.
- Hands-on experience with software implementation, enhancement, or maintenance efforts.
- Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and database concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, software lifecycle processes, and application support methodologies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
